Trust “Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” KJV
Trust in verse 5 comes from the Hebrew word bä·takh' meaning:
1) to trust, trust in Trust gives confidence and security to the relationship. Without trust there cannot be a meaningful relationship. With trust comes commitment. Think about someone special to you in your life. The relationship you have with them makes you feel secure and gives you confidence. Our relationship with God requires trust. The Bible gives the many advantages when there is trust in God on our part:
Trust in God directs our path: Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.
Trust in God requires faith. Faith comes by the word of God as we see in
Romans 10:17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of
God. When you trust someone you know that they will be there for you in your
life. But trust is a two way street. We trust God, but can God trust you to
obey, follow, and do what is right? “In God We Trust” is a motto we see on
our money. Saying I trust in God is easy, but actually trusting in God is
where the relationship comes in.
God Bless,
